Take a closer look at nude photography with 'The New Nude' Workshop.

Fine art and fashion photographer Syx Langemann introduces participants to an exciting dimension of nude photography that fixates on angles and hidden details, exposing fetishes and desires.

Syx has focused much of his career on studying the female body, including his series Postapocerotica, portraits that beautifully portray fetish, intimate bondage and body modification. His roots as a body piercer, as well as years of fashion photography, give Syx an unmatched eye for intimate and unique views of the body and for challenging traditional definitions of beauty.

Students will prepare to embark on this adventure by discussing the style, composition and content of examples from both contemporary photographers and student contributions.

This class offers two days of shooting in three different locations, ranging from modern photography studios to (weather permitting) exotic outdoor locations. Participants will experience mixed lighting styles, creating edgy looks in each setting. Syx guides his students over the curves of the body, identifying strong, interesting lines, and encouraging daring, provocative shots.

Friday 7pm - 10pm:

• Introductory lecture where Syx will share images, creative approach and techniques.

Saturday 10am - 1pm:

• Shooting session with professional models.

Lunch 1pm - 2pm

• Shooting session with professional models and instructor critiques.

Sunday 10am - 1pm:

• Shooting session with professional models.

Lunch 1pm - 2pm

Sunday 2pm - 5pm:

Level:

Beginner/Intermediate/Professional. Must be comfortable with personal camera operation.

Enrollment:

Maximum 12 participants.

Equipment Needed:

Bring your camera (must have manual controls) and at least 1 lens.
Optional: additional lenses, camera flash and tripod.

We Provide:

Detailed course notes in binder.
All lighting equipment and professional models when shooting in a professional studio setting as part of this course.

CAPIC & PPABC Members:

A 5% discount is available to CAPIC and PPABC members when registering online. Please be prepared to show your membership cards on the first day of your workshop.

Group Discount:

A 5% discount will be appplied if 3 or more people register at the same time for the same workshop. (All 3 tuitions must be paid for by one credit card to be considered a group registration.) Please follow the instructions on the online registration page.

In order to provide the best learning environment possible VPW keeps class sizes limited to 12-15 people (depending on the workshop). This is but one reason that we count on you to attend your chosen class, once you have registered for it.

If you must withdraw for any reason please be aware of our refund policy as follows:

For our local workshops, 1 to 5 days in length and our Local 10 Week Courses, VPW requires 15 days written notice (before the workshop start date) of your withdrawal in order to provide a refund. (Email notice is acceptable.)

If you wish to transfer to a different workshop date VPW requires 7 days written notice.
