Vancouver Photo Workshops proudly presents this exclusive weekend workshop, "A Natural Eye" with acclaimed photographer Eddie Soloway from Santa Fe.

In this weekend workshop, you’ll have a chance to explore photography and the natural world with master landscape photographer Eddie Soloway.

Eddie is a respected educator with a great ability to inspire and reinvigorate photographers.

His focus on an intuitive, emotional response to the landscape, paired with plenty of hands-on guidance will make this workshop a rare treat.

You’ll learn to respond to the landscape around you and to capture the essence of places as you work to translate your vision into successful imagery.

This workshop is a chance to transcend technical concerns and focus on the art and craft of fine image-making. Visual exercises paired with hands-on shooting sessions in the field will help you to look at the world around you with fresh eyes and a new perspective. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided each day.

Workshop:

Saturday & Sunday, January 21st and 22nd, 2012
9am-5pm

Who Should Attend

All photographers are welcome in this workshop. Students should have a good working knowledge of their cameras and should be prepared to explore new methods in landscape photography. Students should bring cameras and may shoot with film or digitally.

About

Eddie Soloway’s photographs are the expression of his passion and commitment to the natural world. His eye has developed during a lifetime of exploring the earth’s wild places. Former positions in educational workshop design, wilderness program development, and custom fine photographic printing have further honed his expertise. In 1998, Eddie was the first recipient of the Excellence in Photographic Teaching Award presented by the Santa Fe Center for Photography. Today he divides his time between making fine-art prints, teaching, speaking on creativity and the photographic life, and furthering photographic publishing projects. His first book, One Thousand Moons, was published in the summer of 2004, and his DVD, A Natural Eye: Big Sur was released in December, 2009. An impassioned teacher, Eddie brings experiences in nature, creativity, and photography to his workshops.
