Victoria Photography

On this exciting photo tour, we will visit many picturesque sites on beautiful Vancouver Island including the waterfront city of Victoria, famous Butchard Gardens, Totem Poles in Duncan and beautiful Cowichan Lake and Bay.

We'll meet in our Vancouver studio on Friday evening at 7pm to go over our activities, get acquainted, discuss our goals and go over suggested photographic assignments.

Before the evening is over we'll view an inspirational slideshow with images of the areas we'll be visiting.

We will meet at our studio at 8:30am on Saturday morning and catch the 10am ferry to Victoria. We will be traveling together in our VPW van(s) for the duration of the entire tour, so no need to take your own car (unless you would like to.) All transportation is included in the tour price including the ferry.

We will spend Saturday in Victoria and the immediate area visiting the famous Butchard flower gardens in the afternoon. We’ll be out shooting until sunset.

On Sunday we will meet for breakfast together before heading out towards Cowichan Bay and Duncan where we will be photographing the famous totem poles and other spectacular sights along the way.

We will take the last ferry (which leaves by 9pm from Victoria) so as to take full advantage of the light and shooting locations.

We will be back in Vancouver by 11:30pm on Sunday evening.

Every participant is responsible for his/her own accommodation for Saturday evening in Victoria. Please contact our office if you are looking for a list of places to stay. It is recommended for everyone to stay in 'downtown' Victoria, which will make getting together with everyone easier.

Our VPW vans will shuttle everyone to and from their hotels to all shooting locations for the entire duration of the trip.

Every student will have the opportunity to share images created throughout this workshop in dedicated online photography galleries. Access information will be provided to everyone during the workshop. The instructor and your fellow workshop participants will be able to see your images, comment and critique on individual results. We are very excited about this new system which will also let you stay in touch long after the workshop has passed.

Come and join us for an unforgettable tour around beautiful Vancouver Island!
