Vancouver Photography

During this exciting photo tour, we will visit many picturesque sites in a city that has often been called 'one of the best places to live'.

Vancouver is a photographer's paradise, not many cities have this much visual excitement to offer. We’ll meet in our Vancouver studio on Friday evening at 7pm to go over our activities, get acquainted, discuss our goals and go over suggested photographic assignments.

Before the evening is over, we'll view an inspirational slideshow with some great Vancouver imagery.

On Saturday we will meet in our studio at 9am then head out to photograph lively Granville Island, with its famous food market. While in the area, we'll explore Vancouver's waterfront and the beautiful Yaletown skyline.

In the afternoon, we'll photograph historic Gastown before catching the sun low on the horizon in English bay.

On Sunday morning we will begin the day by exploring Lynn Canyon and its famous suspension bridge. On our way back into the city, we'll stop in Stanley park for some great shots of the Vancouver skyline, ancient Totem Poles, and historic Lion's Gate Bridge.

Back in the city we will take a short trip out to the grounds of the University of British Columbia, where we'll photograph the Nitobe Chinese Gardens and the area around the Museum of Anthropology.

Before the day is over, we'll return back to our studio to discuss any remaining questions. Every student will have the opportunity to share images created throughout this workshop in a dedicated online photography gallery.

Access information will be provided to everyone during the workshop. The instructor and your fellow workshop participants will be able to see your images, comment and critique on individual results. We are very excited about this new system which will also let you stay in touch long after the workshop has passed.

How to get to our shooting locations/ Local transportation:

We encourage the group to carpool together to the various shooting locations. It is possible to use public transportation, but in an effort to minimize travel time (and maximize shooting time) travel by car is recommended. If you do not have personal transportation we will strive to match you with another participant who has. Mode details will be discussed at the meeting on the first day.

Come and join us for an unforgettable tour around one of North America’s most scenic cities!
