Studio Lighting Image

This one day intensive workshop is designed to provide you with a basic understanding of the practical aspects of working with studio lighting.

We will concentrate on the safety and practicalities of setting up and working with studio strobe and hot lights.

We will also begin the investigation of light controls both from a practical as well as a theoretical point of view.

In the afternoon you will have the opportunity to create and photograph using the five basic lighting styles for portraiture.

We will be using a digital camera for demonstrations but you will be expected to use your own camera for the studio shoots. You may use either film or digital cameras in this workshop.

"Thank you for a great course today - in Practical Studio Lighting. I love the one-day format and the way you managed to cover so much in one day with a lot of clarity and depth.

It was a very useful overview for me plus I had a lot of fun in the afternoon with the models."

"Finally a workshop that uses equipment that is actually being used in the industry today. I loved the Beauty Dish and the Ringlite the most. Tons of great experience and lots of fun working with the models."
