This series of nude photography workshops will take you to new and interesting locations that will motivate you to create the images that you have only dreamed of.

The locations have been handpicked for their versatility and beauty, from a cabin on the Slocan River to the beaches of Gabriola Island, students will encounter the nude in environments that will prove to be an exciting backdrop for the figure.

These workshops are meant to be workshops in the true sense of the word. You are encouraged to explore your surroundings and refine your vision so you can best accent the figure, the curves of the body, or use strong lines that will help to create daring, provocative images. You will be both inspired and surprised by the atmosphere and open to new possibilities. We will share our images and ideas to better help us understand our own work.

These workshops will be comprised mostly of shooting, both indoor and outdoor, with ambient and artificial light. Syx will do several set-ups and demonstrations during these workshops to not only explain and teach the technical side of things, but to encourage the students to use their own set-ups.

Locations for these exclusive workshops include:

- Nelson, BC

- Gabriola Island, BC

- Bowen Island, BC

The schedule for the Bowen Island Workshop features some changes from the Nelson and Gabriola Island Workshops. This is due to the close proximity to Vancouver, which also allows participants to come over to Bowen Island each day hence eliminating the need for on-site accomodations. Level:

Beginner/Intermediate/Professional. Must be comfortable with personal camera operation.

Enrollment:

Maximum 12 participants.

Equipment Needed:

Bring your camera (must have manual controls) and at least 1 lens.
Optional: additional lenses, camera flash and tripod.

We Provide:

Detailed course notes in binder.
All lighting equipment and professional models when shooting on location as part of this course.

Early-Bird Discount:

A 10% discount is applied automatically if you register before the Early-Bird Discount deadline date listed in the registration table below.

CAPIC & PPABC Members:

A 5% discount is available to CAPIC and PPABC members when registering online. Please be prepared to show your membership cards on the first day of your workshop.

Group Discount:

A 5% discount will be appplied if 3 or more people register at the same time for the same workshop. (All 3 tuitions must be paid for by one credit card to be considered a group registration.) Please follow the instructions on the online registration page.

In order to provide the best learning environment possible VPW keeps class sizes limited to 12-15 people (depending on the workshop). This is but one reason that we count on you to attend your chosen class, once you have registered for it.

If you must withdraw for any reason please be aware of our refund policy as follows:

For our local workshops, 1 to 5 days in length and our Local 10 Week Courses, VPW requires 15 days written notice (before the workshop start date) of your withdrawal in order to provide a refund. (Email notice is acceptable.)

If you wish to transfer to a different workshop date VPW requires 7 days written notice.
