Vancouver Photo Workshops proudly presents a five day workshop, "Perception, Light, Gesture & Color" with internationally acclaimed photographer Jay Maisel.

Set in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia, this is an incredible opportunity to expand your visual horizons under the guidance of one of the great masters in contemporary photography. Take part and experience a renewed sense of energy, inspiration and vitality in your photography.

Mr. Maisel has been leading Workshops for decades inspiring many emerging as well as established photographers worldwide.

Mr. Maisel teaches regularly at established US institutions such as Santa Fee Workshops, The Maine Photographic Workshops, Andersen Ranch Arts Center Workshops as well as in New York City. He has taught and lectured all over the United States, Europe, Australia as well as New Zealand.

Workshop course description provided by Jay Maisel:

This is a challenging class.

Deceptively simple at first, with levels of complexity that will unfold over the week.

This is a class which will fundamentally change the way you see. It has nothing to do with technical sophistication or complicated equipment.

This is a class about getting inspired, learning new things, working through burnout, and getting back to the part of photography that was fun and attracted you in the first place: looking and seeing.

You will get assignments, which you will not have enough time to shoot. We won’t have enough time to edit, critique, talk, or sleep.

But you will leave with an urge to go out and shoot. And hopefully you will say what many ex-students say (I have no idea why), "This class changed the way I see and/or changed my life".

Please Note: SLR Camera only
