In this class, whether you have a Digital Rebel, XT or XTi, EOS 10D, 20D, 30D, 40D, 1DMk IIn, 1Ds Mk II or the EOS 5D, we will teach you how to get the most out of your Canon Digital SLR.

We will discuss recommended Canon lenses and accessories, and demonstrate how to effectively use your camera with one of the latest Canon Speedlight flashes.

Tailored specifically for Canon DSLR users, this fun and informative Workshop will have you feeling in control of your equipment.

Leave encouraged and empowered to explore the wonders that your Canon digital camera has to offer.

You will learn how to:

• Navigate your cameras menu systems, including custom functions
• Understand what the various buttons on your camera do
• Select and use the right image resolution for your images
• Choose when to use RAW and JPEG file settings and what each is best for
• Adjust your cameras white balance for different lighting situation
• Do a custom white balance
• Better use of your flash and also how to use an external flash
• Clean your cameras image sensor
• Maintain the "health" of your memory cards and batteries

Level:

Beginner/General Interest. No previous photography experience required.

Enrollment:

Maximum 14 participants.

Equipment Needed:

Bring your digital camera, manual and all cords and accessories.

We Provide:

Detailed course notes in binder.
Instruction on the use of your personal digital camera.

Early-Bird Discount:

CAPIC & PPABC Members:

A 5% discount is available to CAPIC and PPABC members when registering online. Please be prepared to show your membership cards on the first day of your workshop.

Group Discount:

A 5% discount will be appplied if 3 or more people register at the same time for the same workshop. (All 3 tuitions must be paid for by one credit card to be considered a group registration.) Please follow the instructions on the online registration page.

In order to provide the best learning environment possible VPW keeps class sizes limited to 12-15 people (depending on the workshop). This is but one reason that we count on you to attend your chosen class, once you have registered for it.

If you must withdraw for any reason please be aware of our refund policy as follows:

For our local workshops, 1 to 5 days in length and our Local 10 Week Courses, VPW requires 15 days written notice (before the workshop start date) of your withdrawal in order to provide a refund. (Email notice is acceptable.)

If you wish to transfer to a different workshop date VPW requires 7 days written notice.
