Rachelle Fox (Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop CS3, Fine Art Digital Print Level 1 and 2):
Rachelle Fox is a PX3 award-winning photographer who has dedicated her life to the pursuit of a fine art career. Previously a painter and graphite pencil artist she found her true life’s passion through the lens of a camera.
A self-taught professional photographer Rachelle’s work focuses primarily on metaphorical landscapes and travel documentary photography. An adventure traveler for over a decade you can usually find Rachelle shooting in some of the most beautiful, exotic and isolated places in the world. Her stunning fine art prints can be found in private art collections across North America.
Rachelle’s wealth of knowledge in the Fine Arts and in the technical aspects of Digital Photography allows her to teach with unbridled enthusiasm. A self confessed Lightroom and Photoshop addict, Rachelle is always focused on crafting the perfect fine art print.

Aura McKay (Introduction to Digital Photography, Intermediate Photography, Flash etc):
Aura McKay is an experienced instructor and workshop leader committed to sharing her passion for photography. Her work includes creative weddings, unique intimate portraiture, fine art alternative process images and commercial interiors and decor. An active member of PPOC and professionally trained, Aura’s enthusiasm is matched by her technical knowledge.
Expedia, Bermuda Tourism, World Natural Sports Organization, Marriott Pinnacle, Sofa So Good, North Star Properties and CheckUp Magazine are examples of the diversity of Aura’s client list. In addition to continually pursuing challenging assignments, Aura is an avid and lifelong learner, studying with Tony Corbell, Ralph Gibson and Mary Ellen Mark among others.

Ray Remiszewski (Tofino Travel Workshop, Adobe Photoshop Workshop(s)):
Ray Remiszewski is a fine art photographer who focuses on topographical, psychological, and urban landscapes. An educator and psychologist by background, he has over 20 years of teaching experience in academic, business, and workshop venues. Ray has worked extensively with creative professionals, helping actors, designers, photographers, producers and writers realize their creative vision.
Ray migrated from Australia to Vancouver in 2002 and has also lived and worked in the U.K. & U.S. He started photographing in the early 70’s and works with both digital and medium format film cameras. Ray is also a tech addict, having used Abode Photoshop since 1996, he’s currently completing the process to become an Abode Certified Expert.
Ray’s infectious enthusiasm for photography can be seen in both his work and teaching style. He has trained with internationally recognized photographers such as John Paul Caponigro, Chip Forelli, Ralph Gibson, and Jay Maisel, and is passionately committed to ongoing training.

Syx Langemann (Super Saturday Fashion Workshop, Intro to Fashion Photography, The New Nude Photography Workshop):
Syx Langemann brings his creative vision and hands-on teaching style to Vancouver Photo Workshops in Summer 2006.
Syx completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Windsor, where he began his photography career in 1992. Upon arrival in Vancouver, Syx started teaching photography and web portfolio development at Focal Point Visual Arts Centre. Syx is a contributing fashion photographer for Vancouver's Ion Magazine, and his recent clients include advertsing agencies Smak and Rethink. He is noted for his development of the Vancouver collective Fracture Industries, and has exhibited his fine art works locally as well as internationally.
Syx brings his versatile knowledge of edgy and creative photography, digital workflow and web portfolio design to VPW. His fashion photography workshops are famous for their hands-on focus and Syx offers his students creative opportunities to built diverse portfolios of their own in a matter of a few short weeks.

Kaj R. Svensson (Tofino Travel Workshop,
Startrails Workshop, Stock Photography):
Kaj
R. Svensson. Educated in British Columbia and
California Kaj has over 25 years experience in commercial,
illustrative and stock photography working in all camera
formats including 35mm, medium, 4” x 5” and
8” x 10” view cameras, and the latest digital
equipment. Kaj also has extensive knowledge of and experience
in lighting techniques and has owned and operated studios
for over 20 years. He has been actively involved in teaching
for over 20 years, and has taught at institutions such
as the University of British Columbia (Centre for Continuing
Education), British Columbia Institute of Technology,
and other prominent local photography schools.
In 1986 Kaj incorporated Viewpoints West Photofile Ltd.,
a stock photo agency which today represents over 30 photographers
and a file of 150,000 images. Viewpoints West supplies
stock images to customers on a worldwide basis for an
extensive range of editorial and commercial purposes.
Viewpoints West images have appeared regularly in publications
such as British Columbia, Canadian Geographic, Dynasty,
Future, German Geographic, Globo, Maclean’s, Morning
Calm, Outside, Russian Geographic, Western Living and
many others.

Wayne Hoerchel (Fashion, Advanced Lighting,
Creative Photography):
Wayne Hoerchel is well known for his edgy and distinctive style. Wayne is a local commercial photographer, shooting mostly for fashion, editorial and the music industry. His distinctive style is eye-catching and often moody, which is a direct result of his film choices coupled with techniques such as cross processing and digital manipulation. He is a true master when it comes to lighting, and has worked with many international photographers both in Vancouver and in the international markets. In addition to Fashion Photography, Wayne will also be teaching an Advanced Lighting workshop. Watch for more details apppearing soon!

Ken Nash (Colour Management, Digital Workflow Seminars, Glamour Style Workshop):
Ken
Nash of Ken Nash Image Design is an expert with
fifteen years of experience in Adobe Photoshop and digital
imaging. His expertise in Photoshop, the digital workflow
and the colour management processes have produced consistently
accurate colour output for his clients, which include
some of Vancouver’s top photographers, graphic designers,
art directors as well as professionals in the film industry.
Ken has also for the past eight years been passing on his skills to up and coming photographers and designers through workshops and the formal educational system.

Marc Koegel (Tofino Workshop, Digital
Camera Operation, Basic Photography, Digital Workflow):
Marc Koegel is a local fine art photographer, educator, writer and director of Vancouver Photo Workshops LTD. His black and white landscapes, nudes and architecture photographs have been widely exhibited in Vancouver and abroad.
Born in Germany, Marc first came to Canada in 1996 to earn an Economics degree. He has been seriously involved with photography ever since he was given his father's camera and darkroom setup at the age of 12. He has worked and studied with many internationally acclaimed photographers, including Ralph Gibson, David Hume Kennerly and Jon Cone from Cone Editions Press. Among Marc's keen interest are the creative and transitional techniques used to merit traditional darkroom with the latest digital processes.

Michael Boyle (Portraiture Photography
and Travel Photography Seminars):
Michael
Boyle started his photographic career in 1982.
For the next five years he worked as a photographic assistant
and agent for William Lewis Photography, a prominent Vancouver
photographer and design consultant. It was while working
at Bill’s downtown studio that he was given the
opportunity to assist for the instructors of N.A.P.A.
(National Association for Photographic Art) which offered
a wide variety of courses to the public. This experience,
along with his day job, provided the necessary skills
to strike out on his own as a free lance photographer.
Over the last dozen years or so, Michael has continued
to share his passion and enthusiasm for photography by
leading courses and workshops through venues such as the
Vancouver School Board, the UBC Photo Society, and Douglas
College, as well as private instruction.
