There was too good a deal to pass up on Craigslist for a 4 x 5 camera so I bought it. Ahh, new toys to play with.
Anyway it looks to be a Cambo SC-2 or close derivative. Here's the first question. Included in the kit ws a "23 Graphic" 120 film back. I can't for the life of me figure out how it goes on. If I remove the ground glass assembly it obviously doesn't fit. Information on line is sketchy.
Any thoughts?...anyone?

Ian,
Welcome to the world of Large Format!
Interesting question, and equipment, you got there! Sounds like this film back is made for smaller viewcameras (2x3 instead of 4x5). So you should make sure to have a mounting plate on it, so it will fit a 4x5 camera. Second is the issue of the Graflock back - this is a special mounting back on your camera that accepts holder made for it. If your camera does not have this type of back, it will not take your film back.
I found this related discussion here on PhotoNet, you may want to have a look.

Of course this would be way easier if you actually brought this in for me to have a look. I should be able to make this work, if at all it is meant to work together. maybe this was just an 'assorted lot' that wasn't meant to go together.
I am still in town until next Monday - give me a shout and if you got a minute to swing by, I can have a look at it all for you...

I'm working on mysteries without any clues ao I will take you up on that Marc. It looks like it should fit. If I superimpose a film carrier on it they're almost the identical footprint. The groundglass assembly looks to be in two parts, an inner part that mounts to the frame and an outer part on spring loaded clips that contains the groundglass. I assume the film carrier goes in that intermediate space. It, in turn, is held fast by the tension from the clips plus a locking lever on the outermost part. It's like the outer assembly that contains the groundglass should be removable and this slid into its place.

Wait. I got it figured out and it does fit. There are two switches that disengage the groundglass and it's frame. The 120 back slips in to replace them and then gets clipped into place with slides top and bottom. Sweet!
