This class is designed to teach the fundementals of Adobe Photoshop CS2 (and CS3) that will get you up and running with this popular image editing program. Come and join us for an intensive weekend workshop.

We will teach you:

  • How to use Photoshop's tools, menus and pallets
  • Optimize image color and contrast with Levels and Curves
  • Use Photoshop's image and adjustment layers
  • How to use Batch processing and automating functions
  • Crop, resize and straighten images with the crop tool
  • How to generate web galleries and prepare your images for the web and email.
  • Retouch blemishes using the clone and healing brushes
  • Use the Adobe Bridge to select and organize your images
  • Create panaramic images using Adobe's Photomerge
  • Create dynamic tonal range images with "Merge to HDR"
  • Work with RAW image files, including efficient Workflow techniques
  • Understand how color management works with your monitor and printer
  • And much, much more.

You will have access to the latest Epson 3800 printer during this workshop. We will also be showing a varierty of color calibration equipment, and leave lots of time to discuss your questions.

Participants may use PC or Mac based Laptops. You can use Photoshop CS2 or the new CS3 version. Please note that if you do not have Adobe Photoshop software already, you can download a free trial copy that will work for 30 days from Adobe's website. If you do not have access to a computer or laptop, and still want to take this class, please contact our office at 778.8985256, or email us. For a small additional fee, we can arrange for a Laptop for you.

While similar courses at other institutions are taught with as many as 18 students per class, VPW class size is strictly limited to 14 students only to give you the best possible learning experience and valuable one-on-one instruction time.
