Studio Rental:

Check our excellent Studio facilities open for rentals located on 1304 Seymour Street. With a size of more than 1500 sqft (+ office space and digital production facilities), there more than enough room to let your creative juices roam freely!. The Studio is equipped with full kitchen facilities, a loading dock, make-up and change-room, complete B+W darkroom facilities with Durst 138 5x7 enlarger, film changing and print viewing station, and features 16 foot high ceilings. Full range of lighting tools, strobes and tungsten lighting available on request. Centrally located in downtown Vancouver, this is easily the best value to be found in the City!

Student special: Studio only rents for $25 per hour (cheapest in the City). 2 hours minimum rental please. Volume Discount: Rent 10 hours pay only for 8 (a savings of 20%). Special multi-day rates also available upon request. Mobile PowerMac G5 Computer station can be set up anywhere in the Studio for onsite instant image feedback and processing. Wireless Internet and direct (proof) printing to the Epson Pro 4000 available The Studio features two seperate shooting areas, each self contained and equipped for product and/or people photography. We have a full range of lighting tools including softboxes, umbrellas, grids, reflectors, stands, barn doors and scrims available for students to rent and use. In total, there is more than 4800 Watt Seconds of strobe lighting available. Furthermore, we have a boom for overhead lighting and product table(s) on hand as well. Darkroom Rentals:

Our Studio features a complete professional B+W darkroom setup, available for rent on an hourly (or daily) basis. Our top-of-the-line Durst 138 free standing enlarger can take up to 5x7 inch negatives (great for printing oversized Polaroid type 55 negatives with border). Processing is done in trays, and there’s an archival print washer and screen drying setup. We have a variety of Rodenstock and Schneider lenses to suit your needs.

Student special: Darkroom rents for only $8 per hour (cheapest in the City). 2 hours minimum rental please. Digital Rental:

The digital revolution is here to stay, and VPW has excellent facilities available for student and commercial rentals. Photography can be very expensive at times, and this is especially true with digital equipment. We believe in supporting our local market and have therefore put together a complete rental list unique in this City. By renting you not only save money but you’ll also gain experience and the piece of mind to have complete control over the entire digital workflow. Our digital rentals can be combined with our studio rental to offer true one-stop solutions from start to finish.

We offer a complete digital production room, featuring a state-of-the-art PowerMac Dual G5 workstation loaded with 2 GB of Ram, as well as CD and DVD burning capability. For even greater storage needs, you can also rent one of our portable hard drives and take your files home with you that way. Our PowerMac has a roomy 23 inch Apple Cinema Display, color calibrated to produce predictable results on our Epson Pro 4000 17inch wide format printer. If you want to bring your own negatives or transparencies, we have an Epson 4870 scanner (4800 x 9600 dpi resolution) that can scan film from 35mm all the way to 4x5 (and prints up to 8.5 x11). Finally, to complete the digital workflow, we also have a professional GTI desktop D50 print viewer to accurately evaluate if your printed results match your expectations.

Should you wish to rent the Studio as well, we have a Canon Digital Rebel (6 mega pixel) digital SLR camera with a variety of lenses available for rent individually or as part of the package. Detailed rates below:
